Some Call It ‘Progress’
A mock concept for an original video game. Includes unofficial GameInformer cover, concept shots, and a brief summary:
Born into a world where artificial intelligence and digital systems manage all aspects of human life, Neil is imprisoned in the futuristic city of Neoniev. As his world teeters on the brink of an apocalypse due to the imminent threat of advancing technology and its impact on the earth, Neil makes a final attempt at breaking out in order to live his remaining years as a free man. When his escape plan goes horribly awry, a supposed ‘emergency exit’ spits Neil out into 19th-century American wilderness where he is discovered by a wandering stranger named Patli. Neil does his best to explain his predicament despite Patli’s growing confusion. But when the police in Neoniev begin to close in on his trail, putting both Patli and his own safety in danger, that only leaves time to run. With Neil in shackles, having no knowledge of humankind before the existence of his own world, he must depend entirely on Patli as they embark on a journey that will challenge their ideas of what humans are meant to do with their time on earth.
